The creators dilemma
You just choose. Choose a platform. Choose an outlet.
Choose whatever you feel like resembles your creative makeup the most.
Is it video, is it podcasting, is it blogging.
Is it everything?
You just need to get the words out.
On the paper, in the camera, through the microphone.
The artist create with what he has.
No matter the circumstances. No matter the tools.
But today. Every tool is in your hands.
Use the phone for everything.
You don't have to be sophisticated.
Your voice can be the medium.
Either written or spoken.
Just as the painter chooses the canvas, you choose your weapon of choice.
The weapon for the war of art.
The war that has nothing to do with your circumstances, but with what's going on in you.
Steven Pressfield knew it best.
Resistance is what we are facing.
Either as fear, shame, guilt or procrastination.
We all face those.
But behind them, our demons await us.
So going into the battle is what we are ultimately are choosing.
On the paper or on the matts.
In life we are in the game as long as we keep playing.
Realizing, it's always against ourselves.
Never against an opponent.
We are the opponent.
We are the enemy.
If we choose to be so.
But we could be our friend.
Companion and our teammate.
In the battle.
Against routine, comfort and playing it safe.
The battle against lifes sweetest fruits,
that kill our dreams.
This is the creators dilemma.
